A tough and uncompromising race across the North Atlantic Ocean faces the crews taking part in the Shepherd Ocean Fours Rowing Race 2006.

This race is the first of it's kind and due to the particular conditions and challenges of the North Atlantic it is confined to a one class event; the Woodvale Fours Class. Each crew will be made up of four individuals and the aim will be to row, unsupported 3,100 nautical miles across the formidable North Atlantic Ocean .
